The Bird of Time
Bright shower of lambent butterflies,
Soft cloud of murmuring bees,
O fragile storm of sighing leaves
Adrift upon the breeze!
Wild birds with eager wings outspread
To seek an alien sky,
Sweet comrades of a lyric spring.
